My First Blog

I'm hoping that by using this blog forum my friends and family who are interested will be able to keep up with my mission experience.

Today is Monday, June 27, 2011.  In two more days my team of thirteen and I will leave for Port Shepstone, South Africa.

Here are some things I would appreciate you praying for:

Team unity
Team safety
Team boldness
Team health

Please pray that we always remember why we are there... to bring hope to the hopeless and love to the unloved..  that we keep utmost in our minds that we have an opportunity to plant a seed while we are there and love on the people who are there day in and day out.  The doctors and nurses, the missionaries and church members who sacrifice and give so much of themselves when it's not really the cool thing in white South African culture, deserve so much thanks.  Pray that the enemy will lose hold as there is quite a bit of spiritual warfare going on.  Lots of people who are working so hard are being struck down by the enemy and we hope to offer strength through faith and prayer!

Hopefully I will have a chance to update.  I'm taking my netbook.  I've heard that sometimes wifi may be available.  Hope to see your tracks on here!

Love,

Tammy
